The discipline team are now strictly monitoring referee report cards. Three things referees have to feed back to us are, whether ID cards are shown, if a match day delegate was introduced to the referee and if respect lines were present at the game. All three are mandatory requirement and each is an offence subject to a fine.

Referees have now been instructed to call everyone (Players, Managers, MDD’s) to the centre circle 5 minutes before KO. Please exchange your cards in the presents of the referee and your match day delegates this way everyone is clear that it has been done. If the referee does not see the exchange of cards or the respect barriers / lines and is not introduced to the MDD fines will be issued for each offence. This very short but important pre match gathering will ensure that the mandatory rules are adhered to and your club avoids unnecessary fines.

As part of the respect campaign at the whilst teams and officials are gathered it would also be appropriate to do the respect handshake at this time.

The discipline team will be out and about visiting club grounds to monitor that this procedure takes place.
